Terms and Conditions

High Hand

Our High Hand promotion runs seven days a week, Monday to Sunday, for Texas Hold’em cash games. The prize starts at $250 and is awarded daily to the player who reveals the highest eligible hand between the opening of the table and 3:00am. The minimum qualifying hand is always a full hand of Aces by Jacks, and any unclaimed prize is carried over to the next game day (rollover).

REGULATIONS
  1. AAAJJ minimum qualification hand.
  2. Payments are made in poker chips. Players may add these chips to their stack between hands, but the table limit must be respected.
  3. Prizes are awarded to the player who reveals the highest candidate hand between the time the table opens and 3:00am. The prize-giving ceremony takes place immediately at 3:00am if a hand has qualified.
  4. If no candidate hand has been reported for a given period, the price for that period is added to the next period’s price, resulting in a rollover.
  5. It is not necessary for a player to be present in the room to retain eligibility. If a winning player is absent, Le Grand Royal Wolinak will withhold his prize until he is able to claim it.
  6. If two (2) or more players hold a High Hand of equal value during a given period, the amount awarded is divided equally between the winners.
  7. If there are multiple boards, i.e. if the players involved in a hand are all-in and decide to run the board twice or three times, only the first board can produce a High Hand candidate.
  8. All prizes awarded under these promotions are financed by accumulated Bad Beat Jackpot funds. This is handled as specified in the Bad Beat Jackpot rules in regulation No. 9.
  9. It is not necessary for a hand to go to the unveiling to be eligible. However, this hand must be revealed and recognized by the dealer as a candidate hand.
  10. A minimum of five (5) players must be seated and served at the start of the hand for a Hold’em hand to be eligible for promotion.
  11. To form a High Hand, players must use their two (2) private cards.
  12. Players must play their hands independently. If a player, whether directly or indirectly involved in the hand, passes information or gives instructions to another player on how to act, or reveals his hand to other players, a High Hand produced by that hand will be disqualified.
  13. Any discussion of a potential prize during the hand may void the hand’s eligibility for this promotion.
  14. Management checks the eligibility of all High Hands candidates before awarding prizes. No recourse is possible if a hand is mucked before the supervisory staff has had a chance to check the private and community cards. Under no circumstances and in no way can management rebuild a hand.
  15. All prizes are final. No substitution or price transfer is permitted.
  16. The manager’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
  17. Winners consent to the use of their names and photographs for promotional purposes.
